TabTrade Broker Review - What to Know Before You Sign Up
The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade launched in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
